Aug 24, 2012 Home from China
Aug 1, We left for China!
July 20, Our Travel Approval Has Been Issued
July 5, Our Article 5 has been issued!
May 26, Our Provincial Approval has been sent on to the National Visa Center
May 19, Provincial Approval arrives from Homeland Security
May 1, More paperwork arrived at the Dept of Homeland Security to apporve our adoption request
April 23, We received our LOA today!!! Now 10-14 weeks until we travel
Mar 6, our dossier is "logged in" with China, a huge milestone completed
Feb 24, our dossier is on the way to China!!
Feb 22, Our Dossier is now complete, with Molly's additional paperwork. It's moving on to translation
Feb 8, Pre-approval given from China to adopt Molly
Jan 30, Mailed our dossier into the adoption agency!! Our part is now done, and we wait for China to send us our travel date!!
Jan 28, our final documents came back from the Chinese Consulate!
Jan 19, Adoption agency called to tell us about Qiang Sheng (Molly)
Jan 14, mailed documents to the Chinese Consulate
Jan 13, took final documents to Secretary of state
Jan 12, We received our approval from the Dept of Immigration today!!
Dec 20, another set of documents mailed to our Secretary of State
Dec 13, Documents back from Chinese Consulate in Chicago
Dec 13, Fingerprinted by the Dept of Homeland Security
Nov 21, sent off a batch of documents to Chinese Consulate, Chicago
- Still working on getting our Dossier Documents Authenticated by the appropriate Secretaries of State
Nov 5, mail home study and other documents for approvals from the Dept of Immigration, and Homeland Security
Oct 31, Home Study Approved
Oct 4, one set of documents back from the Chinese Consulate, New York City
Sept 30, Home Study Begins
Sept 19, fingerprinted for Home Study
- Begin another paperwork mountain for Home Study
- Document Chase for our China Dossier begins, everything must be notorized, Secretary of State Authenticated, then Chinese Consulate Authenticated
Sept 6, China pre-approved our applicaiton
Aug 23, Application approved through adoption agency
- Dig in to a daunting pile of paperwork for Application
Aug 7, decide to adopt Zach
July 31, Zach arrives
July 26, Nancy contacted me about Zach
July 22-24, 2011 BE campout, meet Nancy and Kevin
